
| The first step is, go to Phoenix, Arizona. |

The route is highlighted in yellow. Keep your eye out for the Winter Count logo, he'll point the way. From Phoenix, proceed East on Interstate 10. (Interstate 10 is an East/West Hwy. but you will be traveling mostly south as you leave Phoenix) At exit 162A take Maricopa Rd. (Hwy 347). (Now also known as "John Wayne Parkway") Head south on Maricopa Rd.(Hwy347) past the Gila Casino, past the town of Maricopa, past Harrah's Casino and turn right (west) on Clayton Rd. Clayton Rd is 27.5 miles from Hwy exit 162A on I-10. Head west on Clayton Rd. for 2 miles. and turn right (north) on Amarillo Valley Rd. Head north on Amarillo Valley Rd. for 1/3 of a mile and turn left (west) on Century Rd. Head west on Century Rd. for 3 miles and turn left (south) on Warren Rd. Head south on Warren Rd for about 1/4 of a mile. Turn left into the gate, you're there! |
